Oh Narasimha, at the time of my death, when the messengers of Yama (King of death) arrive, while they take away my life, I will be under the illusion and suffering from imbalances in kapha, vata and pitta, three Ayurvedic states. At that time, Oh Lord, I am not sure if I will I be able to say your name with my tongue or if I cannot say with difficulty. So I will chant your name right now when I am in conscious state and please listen to my prayer.

I spent all my time on women, money that does not last long, and for children and wealth. Oh beloved of Tyagaraja! which prince will come to rescue a person like me?

All things of this world are transitory, the evanescent, are enveloped by the Lord who is the real reality of each. Therefore, they have to be used with reverent renunciation, without covetousness or greed for they belong to the Lord and not to any one person.

The different practices based on the three Vedas, SaMkhya, Yoga, Pashupata-mata, Vaishnava-mata etc. are but different paths (to the Greatest Truth) and people on account of their different aptitude choose from them based on whatever they think best. But as the sea is the final resting place for all types of streams, You are the only reaching place for all people whichever path, straight or zigzag, they may accept.

O Lord! Even though there is no difference between us (I am a part of You), I belong to You and not vice-versa. Just like the ocean is made of waves but the waves are not made up of ocean.

Oh Eeswara, while one did not lose his teeth, while one did not lose strength in his body, while the ladies don't disgust one's old looks, while one has not become weak with old age, while one did not lose charm and shine in the body, while one's hair did not turn grey, he should think about serving your divine feet.

Similar to the image of a town as seen in the mirror, when one sees the image of the world within him, the world appears as if it is outside. It is similar to his seeing due to illusion, during the state of sleep, that the one real fact appears as many different truths, and he realizes, when he wakes up and sees the reality, that he is really the one and only one soul. Salutation to the God facing the south, who is the greatest teacher.

For a person who has conquered his senses (lower self) by the divine self, his own self acts as his best friend. But for that person who has not conquered his senses (lower self), his own self acts as his worst enemy.

Below the Adam's apple, at a distance of a span, and above the navel (i.e., the heart which is the relative seat of the manifestation of Pure Consciousness in the human being), effulges the Great Abode of the universe, as if adorned with garlands of flames.

You give freedom to everyone to perform their actions. You also let them do crimes with the given freedom. You offer heaven to the realized men and hell to the unrealized. Is this the fault of the ignorant men who didn't realize your true self?

I am not mind, intellect, ego and the memory. I am not the sense of organs(ears, tongue, nose, eyes and skin). I am not the five elements ( sky or ether, earth, light or fire, the wind and the water). I am supreme bliss and pure consciousness, I am Shiva, I am all auspiciousness, I am Shiva.

Shiva is a form (roopa) of Vishnu and Vishnu is a form of Shiva, Shiva is the heart of Vishnu and Vishnu is the heart of Shiva and there is no difference between the two, thus declaring the Adwaita (non-dual) nature of one God.

Oh Lord of maha Lakshmi! You are an ocean of mercy. You pervade all universes. You are the witness to all things happenings and You are aware of everything. You are omnipotent. You are the ultimate and residual entity of everything. You come to the rescue of those, who call out to You in their states of utter helplessness. You serve as the boon-granting PaarijAthA tree to those, who surrender themselves at Your sacred feet.

Hold on to the worship and rituals of God, parents and ancestors. Look upon your Mother, Father, Teacher and Guest as living Gods.

The sleep that a king gets is one and the same as that a servent gets. The floor or the earth that a learned scholar steps on is one and the same as that a person from lower caste steps on. The consciousness in everyone is one and the same and there is only one divine consciousness.

Like the light emanating from a lamp, kept in a pot with many holes, goes out in all directions, similarly the wisdom in the person goes out through the openings in the body, such as mouth, ears, eyes, etc. And when that person realizes that 'I know myself', this whole universe shines after Him alone, who shines in the consciousness as the knower. Salutation to the God facing the south, who is the greatest teacher.

Sin or merit can never touch me. I feel no pleasure; I feel no pain. No magic chants empower me. No mystic places purify me. I am not the dogma nor the doctrines, nor even the sacred fire of pilgrims. I am neither the experiencer (subject), nor the experienced (object), nor the experiencing. I am supreme bliss and pure consciousness, I am Shiva, I am all auspiciousness, I am Shiva.
